most herbalists use vodka, it's safe, inexpensive, easy to get.

Although there are more pure alchohols, you don't need them. Denatured alchohol will work, but it is not reccomended, as accidental injestion is a bad thing...I need to get hold of pure'ish' alcohol to extract oils for aromatherapy. Can it be bought in shops?
Emily's Oils %26amp; Essentials sells 'perfumers alcohol' that is ethyl alcohol, neutral spirits 190 proof.
You need 200 proof ethyl alcohol. It can be bought from any chemical supply company, and most liquor stores sell it as ';Moonshine'; liquor. Ask the propritor!
Have you try places that sell herbs and stuff like that . Like herbs stores.Plus try yahoo.com, or google.com they may have a listing that will give you what you want.
Medical supply houses, liquor stores.
The purest form of alcohol that can be easily purchased is denatured alcohol. It is mainly used as a cleaning solvent. Use caution when handling this chemical it is very flammable.
Everclear grain alcohol is like 99% pure or so. any liquor store has it.
