What is the difference between using pre-blended oils and aromatherapy?

It depends on what the pre-blended oils are made from. If they are made from actual essential oils (oils extracted from plant sources) and not just manufactured perfume oils, they can be just as effective, and easier to work with because the measuring is already done for you.

Manufactured perfume oils and blends do give a bit of benefit from the olfactory (smelling) sensation, but are not as effective because they don't have the actual healing property of the plant.

Aromatherapy uses the healing properties of essential oils for various types of ailments. What is the difference between using pre-blended oils and aromatherapy?
Perfume oils are much more for people who want something with a great scent. Aromatherapy oils are basically essential oils. I would go with the Aromatherapy oils personally, but that's only because the scent is not very important to me. As long as it is doing the job, I'm happy.
